Background
46-year-old Ms. W and her 55-year-old husband had been trying to have a child for over a decade. Her AMH was only 0.3, and she had never been pregnant. They had visited almost every major hospital in China, even making multiple attempts at a renowned Beijing hospital, but without success. Each time hope rose only to fall, leaving both increasingly anxious.
Challenges
- Extremely low AMH (only 0.3)
- Advanced maternal age at 46
- Over a decade of failed attempts
- Enormous psychological pressure
Solution
Later, through a friend's introduction, they contacted ADDbaby. During their first conversation, Ms. W cried and said: "I don't want to give up, but I'm really exhausted."
We first calmed her emotions, then worked with our medical team to reassess her ovarian condition. Finally, we proposed a solution they had never dared to imagine—using her own eggs and her husband's sperm with surrogacy, preserving complete genetic lineage while maximizing chances of success.
Results
Egg retrieval went much smoother than expected, and the embryo quality surprised them. After the embryo transfer to the surrogate, Ms. W was so nervous her palms would sweat with each update.
Ten months later, they finally met the little life they had waited years for.
Holding her baby, Ms. W said through tears:
""The happiness that was meant to be mine was just delayed."
